As much as I harp on about the importance of self care – I totally ‘get’ why it’s still such a struggle for many women in my community. You know it’s important. You know it’s necessary. You know, logically, it’s not selfish. But the guilt is still there. The resistance is still there. The fear is still there in some cases. So we carry on as normal, putting ourselves at the bottom of our priorities list.
Everything else comes first – our work, our family, our friends, our home.
If there’s 5 minutes at the end of the day we might rush to wash our face, if we’ve not already fallen asleep with exhaustion! But it doesn’t have to be like that. Today I’m sharing some top tips to prioritise yourself and your self care, even in a hectic, busy schedule. I truly believe you CAN make time for yourself – your goals, your health, your passions, your hobbies – and still manage your other commitments. In fact – you’ll probably find you’re WAY more enthusiastic with those areas, having put yourself first and rejuvenated your body, mind and soul.
So get your calendar out, your to do list, and get ready to put yourself first today!
