A Cup of Tea Fixes Everything

Seriously…a cup of tea fixes everything.

Anyone who knows me knows how much of a tea fanatic I am. I’m a typical Brit and turn to tea in any scenario.

Relaxing after a great day at work? Cup of tea.

Need to calm down after some bad news? Cup of tea.

Catching up with a friend? Cup of tea.

Getting some me-time in? Cup of tea.

Some of the hardest times of my life, I vividly remember going to put the kettle on to get myself through that day.

That hard discussion or that painful news. Sometimes, it really is the little things in life that help us through a tough situation, and in our family – it’s a good cuppa.

It’ll come as no surprise then that I adore Afternoon Tea. Any excuse to drink bucket loads of the stuff accompanied by sandwiches, cakes and scones. Basically, my idea of heaven.

Which is why I was delighted to attend a WeBlogNorth hosted Afternoon Tea at The Vicarage, Cheshire.

Now I’ve had many afternoon teas in my time, but this one was pretty special. From locally sourced suppliers (including the tea!) to the pesto on the red pepper baguette bites, The Vicarage put care and attention into every aspect.

And it shows. One of the most delicious afternoon teas I’ve had in a while – the scones are to die for. Well worth a drive out of Manchester for a special visit. The tea room is beautiful as well – well lit, conservatory style with the sun beaming through.

Thank you so much to the Vicarage for hosting us!

Where’s your favourite Afternoon Tea spot? Always up for recommendations to visit.

Love & Good Vibes,
